Omniglow goes to PE Buyer

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Chemical light product
manufacturer Omniglow Corporation announced today that its existing
shareholders have sold their interest in the Company to a private equity group
for an undisclosed sum. As a result of the transaction, lightsticks for
Omniglow's government and safety business will continue to be produced and
distributed in West Springfield and Aix en Provence, France, but under a new
name, Cyalume Technologies, Inc. Equity investors leading the transaction
include Hudson Capital Advisors of New York, and Kline Hawkes & Co. of Los
Angeles, California.

The consumer business continues to be operated by the same Omniglow staff
and Managing Directors, who will also continue to operate existing functions
in West Springfield and Matamoros, Mexico.

According to John Friedson, newly appointed president of Cyalume
Technologies, Inc., "We are thrilled to have completed this transaction. The
sale provides the Company with an investor fully committed to our long-term
growth plan, which includes new products for military and safety markets. And
they are also committed to the 200 jobs and capital investment right here in
West Springfield. It's a great fit."

The name Cyalume Technologies incorporates Omniglow's existing trade name
in the military and safety markets as its new corporate moniker. The genesis
of "Cyalume" goes back to the days of American Cyanamid, the original producer
of chemical light products, and predecessor of Omniglow in West Springfield.

Richard Rosa, newly named Chief Operating Officer for Omniglow, LLC is
equally enthusiastic. "For years, Omniglow has struggled with the different
go-to-market strategies of the military and novelty businesses. Having them
separate will allow both companies to re-invest and focus more efficiently.
Staying in West Springfield, under the same roof, will allow us to coordinate
the use of similar technology to succeed in very different marketplaces."

With the exception of four executive positions, CTI and Omniglow will
maintain their existing work force in West Springfield, France and Mexico.
Friedson believes that new products presently being introduced to military
users could result in additional job creation in 2006 and 2007. He said, "The
investments we've made in new technologies over the past five years are now
beginning to generate revenue."

Cyalume Technologies, Inc. is the worldwide leader in the design,
manufacture and distribution of chemical light and related products into
military, and safety markets, based in the US and France. Omniglow, LLC is the
largest manufacturer and distributor of chemical light products and other
novelty products, based in the US and Mexico.
