KEYLIME Secures $15 Million in Financing Round

New Strategic and Financial Partners Invest in Breakthrough E-business
Decision Support ASP

SAN DIEGO, California -July 17, 2000- KEYLIME Software announced today that it has secured $15 million in its latest round of private financing, its largest round to date. Co-led by two new investors, CB Capital, a Portland, Oregon venture fund, and Kline Hawkes, a Los Angeles, California based venture fund, the round also includes Torstar, the parent company of The Toronto Star newspaper and a prior Keylime investor, San Diego-based Sorrento Ventures. Keylime is an e-business decision support application service provider (ASP) and an emerging leader in online marketing campaign measurement and Web site return on investment (ROI) services.

“This seasoned team of investors will help us capture our strategic goal of market leadership within the e-marketing measurement space,” said Oran Thomas, Keylime CEO. “Keylime now has the resources, people, and service suite in place to catapult the company to the next level in delivering best-of-class e-marketing and Web ROI decision support,” said Thomas.

“Keylime’s e-business decision support service is gaining strong acceptance with customers, including blue-chip companies such as IBM, GE Capital, ThirdAge.com, and The Miami Herald. We are excited to invest in a growing company that is clearly on the move and gaining momentum,” said Craig Berkman, Principal, CB Capital.

Using its proprietary, patent-pending data collection technology, Keylime is able to capture, mine, and report online visitor data in real time and over historical increments. Keylime's combination of breakthrough technology and e-business consulting services provides the most comprehensive, adaptive, and actionable e-business service available today. Representing second-generation technology, Keylime’s full suite of reports can be up and running in only 48 hours.

“Keylime’s service delivery model is exactly what the e-business community is shouting for—actionable information to drive Web strategy and increase ROI with minimal intrusion on IT operations. Add to that the company’s highly experienced management team of enterprise software veterans, Keylime is well poised for successful expansion,” remarked Nick Memmo, Partner, Kline Hawkes.

In response to the strong demand for Keylime’s service suite by e-commerce, e-content, and community e-businesses, the company is expected to more than double its staff by 4Q 2000. In June, Keylime took possession of larger office space in Carlsbad’s high-tech corridor.
