MicroNet Technology, Inc. designs and markets high capacity storage arrays for computers and networks. MicroNet was the first to introduce the disk array for the Macintosh with proprietary hardware and software. The Company designs and manufactures storage system solutions that take advantage of SCSI interface standards. The systems form the basis of a suite of value-added hardware and software. On July 21st, MicroNet announced the release of GenesisONE, the first pre-configured and optimized RAID system for the new Mac OS X Server. The product announcement is significant because it demonstrates Ampex's continued belief in the storage market, a market in which MicroNet is historically known as an innovator. Ampex acquired KHC investment MicroNet Technology in June 1998.
